Oilless bushing means that there is no need to add lubricating oil and grease, which is convenient in use and maintenance, saving cost, time and cost. There are three main types:
1. The metal base, generally copper and lead, has holes on the surface, and grease is added into the holes; the operation is supported by a large amount of grease in the holes, but it needs to be refuelled after a long time;
2. Composite bushing, one is steel back + copper powder + PTFE Teflon, the other is steel back + copper powder + POM polyoxymethylene; it belongs to pressing molding; it is operated by lining inner wall material, but it is very thin, fragile and can not bear high pressure;
3. Nonmetallic self-lubricating bushing: real self-lubricating; nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene, and Sialon;
So, what are the specific functions of oil-free bushing?
Oilless bushing refers to the ring sleeve that acts as a gasket. In the valve application field, the bushing is in the valve cover, wrapping the valve stem. Generally, the corrosion-resistant materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene or graphite are used for sealing.
