1 Installation procedure
(1)
The welding work of the rudder-bearing steel and the hull structure is
completed, and the main hull bushing material has been provided with a
preliminary drawing line. At this time, the hull center line of the
rudder system can be measured according to the center line of the shaft
lining of the shaft system. At the same time, the inner hole of the steel casting is polished and cleaned with acetone;
(2) The processed rudder bearing upper and lower bushes are pushed
into the holes, and the lower end is supported by the casting plate;
(3)
Pull the steel wire on the measured centerline of the rudder system and
adjust the center of the rudder system by adjusting the sliding
bushing. Due
to the hull manufacturing accuracy, the measured centerline of the
rudder system is generally offset from the center line of the rudder
wall casting itself. The thickness of the epoxy resin to be poured can
be adjusted, and then it is judged whether the manufacturer and the ship
are satisfied. The minimum thickness required by the subcommittee (generally not
less than l2mm thick), and if so, the preparation for pouring can be
carried out.

When the center of the bushing and the center of the rudder system are
repositioned and integrated (by adjusting the thickness of the
ring-shaped epoxy resin wall thickness to eliminate eccentricity of the
hull structure), then use a sponge fence to block the gap at the lower
end, and pick up a few Millimeters are reserved for strokes after the epoxy resin
expands, and then coated with silica gel to seal the gap at the lower
end;
(5) Using a plastic hose with a diameter of about 20mm, connect a
funnel to the upper end, and connect the lower end to the upper end of
the bushing;

According to the pouring method provided by the manufacturer for epoxy
casting, pouring should be done under the guidance of the epoxy resin
manufacturer's service engineer, pouring slowly, pay attention not to
form bubbles. 24h

vibrations to ensure the safety and accuracy of the curing process. If the temperature is low, a heating device must be installed next to help cure. The
curing process of the epoxy resin specimen block must be placed next to
the rudder system to ensure that the curing environment of the two is
consistent. The sample has a bar hardness of > 35 and the exposed part of
the epoxy needs to be coated with a sealant to improve the watertight
function.
2 Precautions
(1)
If the preparatory work is to be done well, if it is decided to use
this method of installation, then the epoxy stroke must be reserved on
the steel casting design of the rudder, and the detailed design plan
must be submitted to the classification societies and the ship. East recognition confirmation;
(2)
The design of the epoxy resin should be considered in the design. Two
round steels should be welded symmetrically on the steel castings to
avoid the rotation of the epoxy. At the same time, it should be spaced
90° apart on the rudder bearing bushing. Processing a groove, a total of four slots, to avoid bushing rotation;
(3)
Because the epoxy has a certain expansion after pouring, it must leave a
certain expansion of the stroke at the bottom, specifically set
according to the requirements of the epoxy manufacturers. Epoxy stroke, and detailed design plan sent to the classification societies and shipowners recognized the confirmation;
(2)
The design of the epoxy resin should be considered in the design. Two
